Egg on your face!
Have you ever had egg on your face? This last week all the teachers at Concordia Middle School went on a school trip for three days. As we pulled into a restuarant for lunch all of the foriegn teachers sat at the same table. We looked around the table at our food, and we noticed a plate of eggs that most of us were very excited about. But the next thing we knew a Taiwanese man walked over to our table grabbed our eggs and took them to his table. Needless to say we were all a little confused and unhappy about the whole situation. Why did they take our eggs? So we sent Mark, our Chinese language warrior in to see if we could get our eggs back. They wouldn't give us our eggs back but they did put in an order for more eggs for us. After finishing our eggs we decided to see if we could get a second plate of eggs. So went over to man who took our eggs and I asked him if we could get another plate of eggs, which he kindly ordered another plate of eggs for us. After eating that plate of eggs another teacher came to our table and asked how it was that we got eggs in the first place. It turns out that only the bus drivers got eggs and as ignorant Americans sat at the bus drivers table so rather than asking us to move they simply moved their eggs. No one else in the entire restuarant got eggs excect for the foriegn teachers and the bus drivers. Ooops! Later we talked to the bus driver and joked about our miscommunication. On the way home we stopped at the same restuarant and the bus driver had a plate of eggs waiting for us at our table. In the end this miscommunication ended up being a great opportunity to get to know our bus drivers better through out the trip.
